Sumba Foundation Vacancy: MD, PhD or MSc Needed

 Position is now available for a  Health Program Manager.
Basic job description: Manage a team of 15-20 nurses and 2 data entry staff. Manage 5 medical clinics and mass screening and data collection in villages. Training in general diagnosis and treatment (if MD). Quality assurance of work performed, clinics, field work and data entry. Reporting on field data and clinic performance is required.
Basic qualifications: Medical Doctor or Ph.D. or Master of Science in any of the health sciences/public health/environmental health/biology/parasitology.
Desired qualifications: Management experience from the private sector or NGO’s or government PusKesMas. Field work experience in rural and remote areas of Indonesia. Work experience with other NGO’s. Extensive computer literacy is necessary, in particular Excel and Word. Proficiency in English is desired.  
The Sumba Foundation (www.sumbafoundation.org) is a non profit organization dedicated to providing basic health care to the population living in the rural part of Sumba Island, NTT. The Sumba Foundation runs an extensive and growing malaria eradication program covering now about 16,000 people and operates 5 medical clinics with malaria laboratories in West Sumba. The Health program is led by the International malaria expert Dr. Claus Bogh.
