Oxfam GB is an international NGO working in over 70 countries to address poverty and suffering through supporting development, humanitarian and advocacy interventions. In Indonesia, we currently work to improve the livelihoods of the poor, build participation in governance and save lives by delivering humanitarian assistance. All of our work promotes gender equality. Oxfam GB in Indonesia is seeking experienced and highly motivated individuals to fill the following national position inWest Timor office. Good Governance and Advocacy Officer (Aim 4, Right to be Heard) Based in West Timor – fixed term contract - 2 yearsYou will play a key role in implementing all the advocacy components of the project to improve food security effectively in NTT. You will also be responsible for working with local partners, local communities, and other stakeholders to develop and implement advocacy plans as well as analyse the range of budget allocated, also to collaborate and share learning with organizations and institutions in NTT who works in the same area. You should have several years’ of relevant experience in advocacy – preferably related to livelihood; commitment to gender equity, and strong understanding of government processes and structures as well as influence government officials, also proven written and verbal communication skills both in English and Bahasa. You will need to have effective persuasion and negotiation skill, strong analytical skills with knowledge and good understanding on research, monitoring and evaluation, and also excellent interpersonal skills, in particular self motivated, communicative, and ability to work individually or as a team.
