Posted by ms | April 23, 2008 |

VECO Indonesia uses Outcome Mapping as guiding framework for the planning, monitoring & evaluation of its country programme ‘Sustainable agriculture chain development for organized family farmers in Eastern Indonesia’ (2008-2013). Upon request by some sister NGO’s & development agencies in Indonesia, VECO Indonesia will organize a 2-day introduction workshop Outcome Mapping.

Information & registration:  steffdeprez@veco-indonesia.net

Outcome Mapping is an innovative approach to planning, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes. Through its particular logic, it provides an alternative to anticipate to the complex and unpredictable character of social change programmes and the problem of impact measurement. It focuses on the contribution to the change process rather than attribution, assists in un-packing capacity development efforts and fosters learning & reflection into the programme. It promotes the idea that development is essentially about people relating to each other and their environments, hence puts the actors of the programme in the centre of the design and the M&E process. Outcome Mapping is developed by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in 2001 and has been applied in diverse development programmes throughout the world.

The 2-day workshop will be build up around practical exercises using the contexts & cases of participants and existing OM-based programmes.
